2002 Huvis (Korea) took note of the Western Development Project in China, and established Huvis Sichuan in China, the strategic foothold in the global chemical fiber market.
In view of the fact that demand is high and supply is absolutely low in the western interior provinces of China, Huvis invested
$87.5 million in Zigong, about 200km southwest of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and constructed a polyester plant with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons.

Huvis Sichuan capitalizes on the R&D capabilities and world-best fiber technology of Huvis to continuously develop high-value-added differentiated products and create market demand, and supplies fiber materials that contribute to the creation of a convenient living environment.
It has also made a foray into the applied industry of chemical fiber and created a future growth engine. It is expanding its business into the materials for sanitary products (Hygiene Bico) and the non-woven fabrics for automobiles / medicine / architecture / agricultural materials, and is developing the water treatment separation membrane module and water treatment system market in China jointly with Huvis Water to solve the serious water resources problems.

Huvis Sichuan places an emphasis on win-win convergence with the Chinese market on the basis of the corporate culture of Huvis, i.e. ‘trust, challenge, excellence and satisfaction,’ and is establishing itself as a well-respected company in the local community.
